Adam Mickiewicz Junior High School No. 2 in Starogard Gdański is situated in the centre of the town. In the past, Elementary School No. 6 was located here. The school was built thanks to the people of Starogard and Starogard's district who collected money to create the school for their children. The ceremonial opening took place on 3rd of September 1962.
On 1st of September 1999 first junior high school boys and girls were welcome in the renewed building. The school is completelly renovated and modern with rich educational offer. It is open for disabled students. It has got a lift and plenty of facililties which help to get around. Video camera system takes care of students' security. Since 2009 there is an Internet connection in each classroom. Two gymnasiums and a gym are at students' disposal. On 28th of November the city's President solemnly opened a pitch ,,Orlik 2012” which is used by our school students and our city's inhabitants. In our school, students can acquire genecal knowledge, develop their interests and different passions. They take part in numerous sport competitions and in many additional activities e.g.: culinany and photography. They are also successful in musical and artistic contests.
